EVERY TIME I DIE: New Video Interview Available
May 26, 2009The Kerrang! podcast team conducted an interview with Buffalo bruisers EVERY TIME I DIE on the final day of their tour with GALLOWS. We find out how the band's new album, "New Junk Aesthetic", is shaping up, what happens when your throw a beef burger at singer Keith Buckley's head and how many tacos guitarist Andy Williams will eat on the group's next DVD.
EVERY TIME I DIE's fifth full-length album, "New Junk Aesthetic", is scheduled for release in the fall via Epitaph Records. The CD was recorded at an Anaheim, California studio with producer Steve Evetts (THE DILLINGER ESCAPE PLAN, SEPULTURA, POISON THE WELL. According to guitarist Jordan Buckley, "there's a pretty good chance that you'll be finding a pile of brand new original drawings of mine all over 'New Junk Aesthetic'." He added, "I don't think I could be more excited. Over the past month, I have been making some lyrically influenced illustrations to coexist with the music, and it's going better than I could have planned. The big wigs at Epitaph saw my doodles and confirmed that we are onto something big here, from all angles."
Keith Buckley recently told U.K.'s Rock Sound magazine that he is excited for fans to hear the new album. "I am really surprised at how it came out," he said. "I did not know that we had it in us to be this fast and heavy anymore. You listen to a lot of bands and you can pinpoint the exact time that the dudes decided they were too old for it and started going through the motions. We are not going through the motions on this record at all, it is a legit punk record."
Songtitles set to apear on EVERY TIME I DIE's new album include "For The Record", "Roman Holiday", "Turtles All The Way Down", "Host Syndrome", "One Quarter Of A Revolution" and "The Marvelous Slut".
EVERY TIME I DIE sold almost 14,000 copies of its last album, "The Big Dirty" (Ferret Music),in the United States in its first week of release in September 2007 to debut at position No. 41 on The Billboard 200 chart.
